Florals

This body of work begun from my interest in the historical use of flowers as a way of cryptological communication.  Flowers also hold meaning in superstitions, symbolism, and complicated emotions in our own memories and experiences.  Their scent is filled with joy, sorrow, nostalgia and other feelings that can’t be put into words. These paintings are acrylic or watercolor on mixed media. Every spring I add to this collection as I observe and take inspiration from the flowers in my neighbourhood.
